GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Maryland has its final non-conference matchup before the start of the Atlantic Coast Conference schedule when it travels to UNC Greensboro for a Sunday afternoon battle. The Terps are playing their second road game of the season, having won at Indiana, 80-68, on 12/1 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Terps are playing at the storied Greensboro Coliseum, site of this season's ACC Tournament.
The game will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet. It can also be heard across the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, including Baltimore flagships WJZ-FM (105.7), WJZ-AM (1300). In Washington, D.C., the game will be heard on WJFK-FM (106.7). Pregame begins at noon on the network.

Maryland is facing its typically difficult schedule again this season. In this week's Associated Press poll, there were three Maryland opponents in the Top 9, six in the Top 23 and 12 received votes in this week's balloting.
Scouting the Spartans
UNC Greensboro comes into the game at 2-10 overall and with a 1-1 record in the Southern Conference... The Spartans have lost six straight coming into Sunday's matchup...
UNCG has already played a number of ACC teaqms this season, having losses with Duke, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest and NC State...
Senior forward Ben Stywall and junior guard Brandon Evans lead UNC Greensboro in scoring with identical 12.3 ppg averages... Stywall is also the Spartans' leading rebounder at 9.5 boards per game...
Turnovers have plagued UNCG thus far as it's giving up possession an average of 16.8 times per game and have a -3.2 turnover margin so far this year.
Terps Among Decade's Best
Lindy's College Basketball preseason magazine hit the newsstands and has touted the University of Maryland men's basketball program in a number of ways.
The Terrapins are listed ninth among the decade's top programs by the magazine. The listing notes Maryland's national championship in 2002, as well as its 223-111 record during the decade.
Senior point guard Greivis Vasquez is listed on the Terps' All-Decade Team along with Lonny Baxter, Steve Blake, Nik Caner-Medley and Juan Dixon.
The Terps share "The Decade's Top 10 Programs" with Kansas, North Carolina, Michigan State, Duke, UConn, Florida, UCLA, Texas and Arizona.
