COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After taking two out of three last weekend in Pittsburgh, the Maryland women's swimming and diving team returns home for a dual meet against West Virginia at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eppley Recreation Natatorium.
Two-time ACC Swimming Performer of the Week Ginny Glover led Maryland against Villanova and Pittsburgh last weekend, winning three individual events and managing the last leg of the team's 400 free relay win which sealed the Terps' victory against Pitt. The sophomore won the 100 back (55.87), 100 free (51.48) and 200 free (1:50.09) and finished second in the 200 back (2:00.20). Junior Annie Fittin also played a critical role for Maryland, which moved to 9-2 overall following last weekend's tri-meet action. Her best times in the 50 free (23.04), 100 back (54.22), 100 fly (55.03), rank among the best in the league in the 2009-10 season.
