COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's swimming and diving team had a strong showing against an undefeated Navy squad Saturday.
Navy moved to 11-0 with a 160-129 win against the Terps.
Andrew Relihan led the Terps with a pair of first-place finishes in the 200 back (1:51.57) and 200 IM (1:54.00). He also finished third in the 200 free (1:42.15).
Freshman Jeff Winters captured the 100 breast (58.77) and classmate Alex Spina finished third in the 100 back (54.08).
Maryland continued to perform well in the distance events as Chris Rouchard finished second in the 1000 free (9:25.78) and Brian Honore took third in the 500 free (4:37.23).
"I'm so impressed with how far we've come since this time last year," head coach Sean Schimmel. "Competing with a solid team like Navy the way we did today, really shows our depth."
Maryland heads to Pittsburgh next weekend for Keystone State battle with Pitt, Penn State and Villanova.
