Doubling Up...Again: Jordan Williams nearly had a double-double - by halftime. The sophomore had 14 points and nine rebounds in the first period. For the game, Williams tallied a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds. Through 10 games this season he has already matched the amount of double-doubles he recorded all of last season - eight. That leads the nation. Williams has led the team in rebounding all 10 games this year. It was the fourth 20-point game this season and fifth of his career.
Return to Form: Cliff Tucker, who had scored in double figures the first six games this season before being held to single digits the last three, had 13 points against UNCG. He reached double figures by halftime, going to the locker room with 10 points. He also matched his season high with five assists, chipped in five rebounds, two steals, a block and turned it over just once.
Season-Best for Bowie: Adrian Bowie had an efficient game, tallying a season-high 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting. He was 6 of 6 at the line and has made 17 for 18 at the free throw line in the last five games. He also had four assists and a block.
Freshman Marksman: Terrell Stoglin entered the game second on the team in free-throw shooting (min. 10 attempts), connecting on 80.8 percent. He made 5 of 6 against UNCG and had a career-high 18 points (6-of-10 shooting) in just 19 minutes. It was his sixth game in double figures and third straight.
