Team Records and Series Notes
• Maryland improves to 18-8 overall and 5-6 in the ACC, while Clemson falls to 11-16 and 2-9 in the conference. The Terps lead the all time series over the Tigers, 37-24. The last nine games have gone to the Terrapins.
• Head coach Brenda Frese earned her 250th career win against Wake Forest Thursday night. She is now 251-98 with a winning percentage of .719. After Sunday's game, she currently stands at 194-68 (.740) at Maryland.
• Maryland will continue its ACC play next Sunday when it takes on No. 8/7 Duke in Durham, N.C. at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on RSN.
Team Game Notes
• Line-up: Dara Taylor, Yemi Oyefuwa, Kim Rodgers, Lori Bjork, Diandra Tchatchouang. This lineup last started on Feb. 5 against Georgia Tech and is now 1-1 on the year.
• Key run: After falling behind 4-0 to start the game, the Terps got on the board with a 7-0 run to take their first lead. Freshman Diandra Tchatchouang sparked the run with a layup made with 17:25 left in the first. To end the half, Maryland went on another run. With 5:21 left in the half, Tchatchouang jumpstarted the 13-2 run with another layup. The Terps went into the break up 37-19.
• Three Terps finished in double figures in Thursday's game. Freshmen Diandra Tchatchouang and Dara Taylor, as well as sophomore Lynetta Kizer both hit the double-digit mark for the Terps.
• Maryland outrebounded Wake Forest, 48-33. The Terps are 18-5 when they hold the rebounding advantage.
• The Terrapins continued their strong free throw shooting from Thursday's game at Wake Forest. In today's game, they shot 24-for-29 from the foul line with a percentage of .828, their second-highest of the year. In the last two games, they have made 45-of-58 and shot .776 from the charity stripe.
• Clemson's 19-point first half is the lowest-scoring first half by any Terrapin opponent this year.
Individual Game Notes
• Sophomore Lynetta Kizer earned a new career high at the foul line, going 10-for-10 on the day. She finished with 16 points total, 4-for-8 from the field, and grabbed seven rebounds, as well as dished an assist.
• Freshman Dara Taylor scored 10 points in the first half, and finished with a new career high of 17 total. She hit new career highs on 7-for-12 shooting, tied her career high two three's in a game, grabbed five boards and had a steal. The ACC's assist leader, she dished five on the day.
• Freshman Diandra Tchatchouang scored 14 points in the win on 4-of-12 shooting, including a career high 6-for-6 from the foul line. She grabbed six boards and dished three assists.
• Sophomore Yemi Oyefuwa tied her career high eight rebounds and scored two points, including 2-for-2 from the free throw line. She also tied her season high two steals and swatted one shot.
• Freshman Essence Townsend grabbed six rebounds and scored three points on 1-for-2 shooting from the field and the foul line.
• Sophomore Anjale Barett was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. She finished with six points total and two steals.
