Game Notes

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland softball team opens a 10-game home stand Tuesday at 5 p.m. when it hosts RV/RV Hofstra in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. at Robert E. Taylor Stadium.

The Terrapins (19-12, 0-5) will take on the Pride for the second straight year. The Terps split the two-game series with the Pride last year to keep the all-time series record tied at 4-4.

Hofstra comes to College Park with a 17-5 record and 7-0 record on the road. Most recently, Hofstra swept Colonial Athletic Association opponent Delaware in a three-game series.

The Terps will host No. 20/18 Florida State in an Atlantic Coast Conference weekend series Saturday and Sunday. They will take the field for a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday for a single game beginning at 1 p.m. as well.

Next Wednesday, April 7, the Terps will host local rival George Washington in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. Maryland will host ACC opponent Virginia Tech April 10 and 11 for a 1 p.m. Saturday doubleheader and Sunday single game at 1 p.m.
