Maryland improves to 19-11 overall and 6-9 in the ACC, while North Carolina falls to 18-11 and 6-9 in the conference. UNC owns the all-time series 35-32, but the Terps are 8-4 over the Tar Heels in neutral settings.
Head coach Brenda Frese is now 252-101 with a winning percentage of .714. After Sunday's game, she currently stands at 195-71 (.733) at Maryland.
Maryland will face the ACC's top seed, Duke tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the second round of the ACC tournament. The game will be televised on RSN (RSN - Fox Sports Net South (FSNS), Comcast Sports Net (CSN), Fox Sports Net Florida (FSNFL), New England Sports Network (NESN)) and Fox HD.

Line-up: Dara Taylor, Lynetta Kizer, Diandra Tchatchouang, Lori Bjork and Kim Rodgers. This lineup falls to 4-5 on the year.
Four Terps finished in double figures for the sixth time this season. Freshman Diandra Tchatchouang led the Terrapins with 23 points and sophomore Lynetta Kizer finished with 17. They are now 3-3 when two players hit the double-digit mark.
The Terps scored 41 points in the first half. They are 9-0 this year when they scored more than 40 points in the first half.
Individual Game Notes
Sophomore Lynetta Kizer had 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field in the first half alone. She finished with 22 points total on 9-for-12 shooting. She was 1-for-1 from outside the arc and 3-for-3 from the foul line. She grabbed ten rebounds for another double-double.
Freshman Tianna Hawkins earned her sixth career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She was a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe and 4-for-6 from the field.
Freshman Dara Taylor had ten points, four rebounds and three assists. She was 3-for-10 from the field and made four free throws.
Senior guard Lori Bjork added ten points herself with her 2-for-6 shooting from the field. Both shots were three's and she was 4-for-4 from the foul line.
