Team Records and Series Notes
• Maryland falls to 19-12 overall and 6-10 in the ACC, while Duke improves to 25-5, 13-2. Maryland leads Duke in the overall series, 37-36. The Terrapins also hold the advantage in neutral site games, 7-5.
• Head coach Brenda Frese is now 252-102 with a winning percentage of .714. After Sunday's game, she currently stands at 195-72 (.733) at Maryland.
• Maryland now awaits their selection in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, March 15.
Team Game Notes
• Line-up: Dara Taylor, Lynetta Kizer, Diandra Tchatchouang, Lori Bjork and Kim Rodgers. This lineup falls to 4-6 on the year.
• Four Terps finished in double figures for the seventh time this season. Sophomore Lynetta Kizer led the Terps again with 16 points. Sophomore Anjale Barrett posted 15, senior Lori Bjork finished with 14, and freshman Jackie Nared had 10.
• Maryland outscored Duke off turnovers, 25-22, in second chance points, 18-5, fast break points, 4-2 and in bench points, 29-10.
• The Terps forced Duke into 20 turnovers and capitalized on the miscues with 25 points.
• Maryland outrebounded the Blue Devils, 29-28.
• The Terrapins were 17-for-19 from the line for their season-best free throw percentage mark, 89.5. They went 13-for-14 from the line in the second half for a 92.9 clip.
• The score tied six times and the lead changed four times.
Individual Game Notes
• Sophomore Lynetta Kizer had 16 points on 4-for-10 shooting and going 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. She added six rebounds and one steal.
• Sophomore Anjale Barrett put up 15 points, her ninth double-figure point performance. She went 4-for-5 from the line, added one assist and two steals.
• Senior Lori Bjork registered 14 points on 4-for-6 shooting, all from beyond the arc. She was also 2-for-2 from the free throw line, had one assist and one steal.
• Freshman Jackie Nared had her fifth double-figure performance with 10 points against Duke. She hit two three-pointers and both her free throws. Nared also had two rebounds and one steal.
• Freshman Dara Taylor contributed four assists.
• Freshman Tianna Hawkins pulled down seven rebounds.
