COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Seniors Dan Gentzler and Mike Rozak, along with junior Brett Harman, were among the 40 athletes named to the 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Baseball Team, as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.
Gentzler and Harman, who were also named to the team in 2009, were two of 17 student-athletes that earned the honor on at least one previous occasion.
An economics major, Gentzler led the team with seven saves last season and recorded 34 strikeouts to just seven walks.
Harman, who is a kinesiology major, served as the team's No. 1 starter all year and led the team with a 4.50 ERA. He also ranked among conference leaders with 91 strikeouts on the year.
It was the first selection for Rozak, a dual major in physiology & neurobiology, as well as criminology & criminal justice. Rozak was also named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team earlier this year.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
