Seventh Annual Golf Classic Set For Oct. 1

    COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The seventh annual University of Maryland Baseball Golf Classic is coming up on Friday, October 1, at the University of Maryland golf course.

    A number of exciting auction items have been secured for the event. Among the items that will be auctioned off at the scramble:

  • Baltimore Orioles game day experience at Camden Yards (pregame field passes for BP, 4 box seats to 2011 game)
  • Pittsburgh Pirates game day experience at PNC Park (hotel with breakfast at Marriott, pregame field passes for BP, 4 box seats, 4 autographed items, Parking Pass, meet with General Manager in 2011)
  • Washington Nationals ground crew experience (be with the grounds crew pregame on the field at Nationals Park, 4 box seats to 2011 game)
  • Autographed items including Gary Williams signed basketball, Ralph Friedgen signed Terps helmet, Brenda Frese signed basketball, & Cal Ripken signed items, etc.
  • Six Tyser Tower Suite tickets to Maryland-Florida State football game
  • You and two friends playing a round of golf with Oriole great Al Bumbry at UMD Golf Course
  • You and two friends playing a round of golf with former Terp and MLB veteran Eric Milton at UMD Golf Course
  • Travel with the University of Maryland Baseball team to open the 2011 season AT TEXAS! Roundtrip airfare, ground transportation, hotel, and game tickets for two!
  • Travel with the University of Maryland Baseball team to Virginia! Ground transportation, hotel, and game tickets for two!

    In addition to the four-person scramble, golfers will receive lunch, Under Armour gear and prizes for closest-to-the-pin and longest drive contests with their registration.

    This is a great opportunity to support the baseball program as the Terps look towards the 2011 ACC and NCAA Tournament. Registration and sponsorship information can be found at the top of this page. All proceeds go to the Maryland baseball program.

    The weekend will offer several chances to support Maryland athletics. The M Club Hall of Fame Dinner is Friday night after the golf tournament. On Saturday, the football Terps take on Duke in the ACC opener at Byrd Stadium.
