COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland gymnastics team started its season with an intense boot camp. The team went through various training exercises to get in shape and prepared for the 2010-2011 season. The team will stay in boot camp training through Oct. 15, then will begin work on routine preparation.

"The team came back in shape and ready to attack this year's bootcamp. That really gives us a great start to the season," head coach Brett Nelligan said.

The athletes go through different strength and conditioning training each day for five weeks including an on-field circuit at the indoor football facility, pool workout, spin class, weight room circuit and "insanity workout" team cardio. The team's motto for this year's camp is "Relentless."

"This year we decided to be "RELENTLESS" in everything that we do including our conditioning and practicing as well as in the classroom with our academics," Nelligan said.
