COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
After a year of construction, the Maryland gymnastics team saw its new locker room last week for the first time.
When improvements were made to the campus's School of Public Health building, the gymnastics team got a new and improved locker room in the building, which is where the Terps practice.
"We're excited to be in our new locker room. From design to construction everyone did a great job, it really looks incredible," head coach Brett Nelligan said. "This a great spot where the girls can relax before and after practice."
The locker room boasts a lounge with flat screen television, computer station and couches for the athletes to relax, brand new lockers and private bathroom and shower facilities for the team. The athletes have access to the locker room anytime so they can relax between classes or before practice.
