COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team, currently ranked No. 33 nationally with a 4-1 record, will compete in its first quad-meet of the season against Illinois-Chicago, Kent State and host Michigan in the Crisler Arena on Saturday at 6 p.m.

"This should be a fun meet for us," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "It's great to get outside of your area and compete against teams from other conferences."

Undefeated at the Comcast Center, Coach Nelligan and the Terps suffered their only loss at Kent State on Jan. 9 when Maryland posted a 193.125, its highest season-opening score since 2000.

The Terps will face arguably its toughest challenge yet, taking on a pair of top-15 squads; Michigan and Kent State are currently ranked No. 8 and No. 11, respectively.

The Michigan Wolverines athletic department will broadcast the quad. For a live feed and stats, click here.

After this weekend's quad-meet, the Terps will open conference play when they travel to Chapel hill to square off against the Tar Heels of North Carolina on Feb. 5.
