COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team welcomed gymnasts from all across the country Wednesday at its annual winter workout camp.
Held at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility, located in the School of Public Health, the camp offered gymnasts, ages seven and up, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics as taught by Terrapin coaches and gymnasts.
"We had a great turnout for the winter workout clinic," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "It's really an incredible experience to be able to give back and work with such talented young gymnasts."
In all, over 80 gymnasts, including 20 level 10's, attended the camp and received Maryland Gymnastics T-shirts by Under Armour.
Nelligan and the University of Maryland gymnastics team kicks off the regular season Jan. 9 on the road at Kent State.
The Terps will host Air Force and New Hampshire in their first home meet on Jan. 15.
