""I am pleased with our victory for the women but I'm not pleased that we came up short on the men's side for the overall points," head coach Sean Schimmel said. "Some sophomores and freshman stepped up who haven't done that in the past. We are a young team.
"The women were strong and won a lot of races. They put up a lot of good times just like the men did. We had some freshman women step up and win some events which was nice to see. Another important note was the divers, both the men and the women. One of the things we need to work on is winning the close races with the men. I think the meet was a lot closer than the score said because of the close races. The men did a good job today; they hung in there and never gave up."
