Tipping Off: Maryland won its fifth straight game and improved to 8-3 on the season while Albany fell to 7-6 ... the Terps' 83 points were a season high and the 11-point margin of victory was the largest this year ... Wednesday's meeting was the first ever between the schools ... Maryland has won 23 of its last 25 non-conference home games.

Len Makes Debut: Freshman center Alex Len made his Maryland debut after serving a 10-game NCAA suspension and impressed throughout his 27 minutes. Len was in the starting lineup and made his first five shots. He finished the night 6-of-9 from the field (five dunks) while adding eight rebounds and three blocks.

Good Distribution: Maryland had 13 assists on 18 field goals in the first half and finished the game with 19 assists on 29 baskets. Pe'Shon Howard had eight assists, Sean Mosley had six and Terrell Stoglin had three. Howard matched a career high with his eight assists (twice previously). That is also a game-high for a Maryland player this year.

Stoglin Gets 20 Again: Terrell Stoglin scored a game-high 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting. It was his eighth 20-plus point game this year, aided by a career-high six made 3-pointers. Stoglin also added four rebounds, three assists, one steal and committed just one turnover in 29 minutes.

Padgett Again in Double Figures: James Padgett reached double figures in scoring for the sixth time in the last seven games, finishing with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting. The junior, who continues to lead the ACC in offensive rebounding (4.3 rpg), contributed seven boards (five offensive). He also matched a career high with two blocks.

First-Half Notes: Maryland's bench outscored Albany's 13 to 2 (Padgett 6, Faust 4, Parker 3) ... the Terps scored 22 of their 44 points in the paint ... Maryland also had the edge in fast-break points (9 to 4) ... the Terps' biggest lead was 13 (with 7:06 remaining) ... Maryland shot 64.3 percent from the field, a season best, and 50 percent from 3PT ... the Terps outrebounded the Great Danes 30-20.

Second-Half Notes: Maryland used a 13-0 run to turn a two-point deficit into an 11-point lead over 2:01 midway through the half ... Alex Len had six of his eight rebounds ... eight of the nine players to see time scored ... Maryland was outscored in the paint 20-16 ... the Terrapin bench again outscored Albany's, 15-2, thanks to Padgett (7), Faust (6) and Parker (2) ... Maryland outrebounded Albany 19-8 in the half.

Tidbits: Maryland used a starting lineup of Terrell Stoglin, Pe'Shon Howard, Sean Mosley, Ashton Pankey and Alex Len. It was the first start of the season for both Howard and Len ...
