College Park, Md. -
The Maryland gymnastics team welcomed 110 talented gymnasts Wednesday for its annual Winter Workout Clinic.
Held at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility, located in the School of Public Health, the camp offered gymnasts, ages seven and up, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics as taught by Terrapin coaches and gymnasts.
"We had a great day at the Winter Workout Clinic," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "It was an incredible turnout. The coaching staff and our lady Gym-Terps had a lot of fun and got to work with some great, young talented gymnasts."
Of the 110 gymnasts, two groups of Level 10 gymnasts attended the camp and all attendees received a Maryland Gymnastics Under Armour t-shirt.
The Terps open the season in Morgantown, W. Va., against West Virginia and Penn State on Sunday, Jan. 8.
Maryland begins its home schedule on Friday, Jan. 13 against Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.
