Tipping Off: Maryland improved to 18-10, including 7-6 in the ACC... the Terps are now tied for fifth in the conference standings with Clemson ... Maryland leads the all-time series with Florida State 29-10 and has won three straight ... Maryland is 7-0 all time in Comcast Center against the Seminoles ... the Terps have shot better than 49 percent from the field four times in the last five games.

Defying the Numbers: Florida State entered the game leading the nation in field-goal percentage defense (.357) and second in the ACC in scoring defense (61.8). Maryland shot .521 from the field, becoming just the second team to shoot above 50 percent against the Seminoles this season (.557 by North Carolina, Feb. 6). Florida State was also allowing opponents to shoot just .297 from 3-point range this season, which ranked first in the ACC and 13th nationally. The Terps made 7 of 14 (50 percent), the first team this season to shoot above 50 percent.

No. 600: Jordan Williams grabbed 11 rebounds, passing the 600 mark for his career. He is the second Terrapin (also Joe Smith) and seventh player in ACC history to reach that plateau as a sophomore. Williams leads the league in rebounding and could become the first Maryland player to lead the ACC on the boards since Smith averaged 10.7 pg in 1993-94.

One Shy of Elmore: With 11 points and 11 rebounds Jordan Williams collected his 21st double-double this season, just one shy of the school record 22 owned by Len Elmore (1974). Williams' mark is also third in the NCAA this season. It's also the most double-doubles by an ACC player since Shelden Williams of Duke had 21 in 2005-06.

Double-Figure Scoring: Adrian Bowie, Terrell Stoglin, Sean Mosley, Jordan Williams and Dino Gregory all scored in double figures, marking the fourth time in the last five games that five Terps have reached double digits. The exception was NC State, when four Terps scored in double figures.

Scoring Surge: Terrell Stoglin again provided a scoring punch for Maryland with a game high 17 points (5 of 9; 3 of 4 3PT; 4 of 4 FT). He is averaging 19.2 ppg over the last five and has made 23 of 24 free throws over the last three games.

Starting Lineup: Maryland used a starting lineup of guards Terrell Stoglin and Pe'Shon Howard, along with forwards Cliff Tucker and Dino Gregory, and center Jordan Williams. It is the second time this season the Terps went with that starting five. That lineup is now 2-0 (also vs. NC State).

Dishing It Out: Adrian Bowie entered the game eighth in the ACC in assists (3.63 pg) and ninth in assist-turnover ration (1.89). Against FSU, he had six assists and just two turnovers. Bowie, along with guards Terrell Stoglin and Pe'Shon Howard combined for 14 assists and just six turnovers.

Tidbits: FSU and Maryland entered the game 2-3 in the ACC in rebound margin, but Maryland got the better of the battle on the boards, 32-26 ... Dino Gregory scored 14 points, hitting double figures for the fifth straight time.
