COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland will play its next three matches within the friendly confines of the Tennis Center at College Park.
The Terps (5-2), who are No. 58 in this week's ITA rankings, begin a non-conference homestand Friday when a 6-2 Columbia team visits College Park. The match will begin at 1 p.m. Maryland knocked off the Lions, 6-1, last season.
Maryland has been led by a strong contingent of newcomers this season.
First-year players Ana Belzunce and Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar have each posted perfect 7-0 dual singles marks this season. Welma Luus, who joined the team last month, is 6-1.
Sanchez-Quintanar has also teamed with freshman Jordaan Sanford in dual doubles and the pair is 7-0 this spring.
Maryland will also face California (Pa.) at 10 a.m. Saturday and Delaware at 3 p.m.
Admission to all Maryland home matches is free.
