COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team, currently ranked No. 32 nationally, will play host to its second consecutive quad meet as it hosts Bridgeport, Temple and William & Mary on Sunday at 2 p.m.

“We're excited about having another home meet here on the Comcast Center main court,” said head coach Brett Nelligan. “It's a great venue and an incredible atmosphere. Our fans are the best in the country.”

The Terps (9-4) are coming off a second-place finish in their first home quad in which they posted a season-best 195.300. In the quad, Maryland topped EAGL foe Rutgers, which put up a 192.975, to improve to a perfect 4-0 in league play. Senior Abbey Adams, who is ranked 28th in the country, posted a season-high 9.925 on floor exercise, winning individual event honors.

“We're really trying to improve on last week's performance,” said Nelligan. “And see where we can squeeze out a few more tenths of a point.”

Coming in at No. 49, Bridgeport (7-5) most recently defeated Air Force by just .025 points, 192.425-192.400. The Purple Knights are led by sophomore Moncia Mesalles- a Barcelona, Spain native- who won the all-around competition on Feb. 12 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Temple Owls (9-8) boast junior Corrine Williams, who was named ECAC Women's Gymnast of the Week for her performance at the Sherri Calloway Memorial Invitational, hosted by Towson, where she won all-around honors and placed second in two events. Temple set its best mark of the year at 193.900 at the season-opening George Washington Invitational on Jan. 16.

After finishing in fourth in Maryland's first home quad last weekend, William & Mary (3-13) returns to College Park in search of its fourth meet win on the season. The Tribe is led by junior Kristin Milardo, who earned the ECAC Coaches' Choice Award on Feb. 16. Milardo posted a season-best 37.95 in the all-around competition at the Sweetheart Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

After each rotation, updated stats will be posted to UMTerps.com on the Women's Gymnastics' 'Schedule and Results' page.
