GREENSBORO, N.C. -
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday, that Maryland's Lynetta Kizer and Alyssa Thomas were all named to the All-ACC women's basketball team. Both Kizer and Thomas, who was named the ACC's Rookie of the Week Monday, were named to the Second Team.
Junior Lynetta Kizer earned All-ACC honors for the third time in her career. The 2009 ACC Rookie of the Year and 2010 All-ACC Third team honoree finished tied for sixth in the league in rebounding (8.2 rpg) and 11th in scoring (14.4 ppg) in conference games.

Her 3.6 offensive boards per league game were third-best in the ACC. Kizer scored in double figures in 25 of 29 games this year, including 12 of 14 ACC games.
Freshman Alyssa Thomas is the first freshman to be named to the first or second All-ACC team since former Terrapin Marissa Coleman was named a second team member in 2005-06. She is one of two freshmen to make an All-ACC team this year. In ACC play, Thomas was top-five in the league in scoring (15.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.4 rpg) and led the league in offensive rebounds (3.8 rpg).
