
Terps Travel to Texas for Championships

AUSTIN, Texas - Maryland will look to improve its top-25 finish last season when it treks to Austin, Texas, for the 2011 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, beginning Thursday.
Annie Fittin, Ginny Glover, Megan Lafferty, and Blair Cross will represent Maryland at the upcoming championships, competing in seven different events, including the 200 and 400 free relay.
Below is a breakdown of the Terps in individual events at this year's championships:

50 free - Fourth - 22.00
100 back - 33rd - 53.25
100 free - 20th - 48.79
Ginny Glover
Junior
50 free - 55th - 22.81
100 back - 41st - 53.66
200 back - 37th - 1:56.02
Megan Lafferty
Sophomore
50 free - 20th - 22.35
100 fly - 12th - 52.39
100 free - 29th - 48.91
Cross will join the trio in both relays and freshman Jennifer Roberts will travel as an alternate. The 200 free relay boasts the 14th best mark heading into the championships and the 400 free relay is 16th.
