COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team will head just south to Washington, D.C. this weekend for the first stop in the 2011 postseason for the East Atlantic Gymnastics League championships. The Terps will compete for conference bragging rights Saturday at 2 p.m. at George Washington's Charles E. Smith Center.
"There has been a great energy and lots of excitement in the gym this week," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "This team is eager to get out there and go for it all."
With a pair of head-to-head wins against George Washington and North Carolina on Mar. 13, Nelligan and the Terps finished the regular season undefeated in the conference for the first time in program history.
