
Terps Open 13-Game Home Stand Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland softball team will open a 13-game home stand this weekend with a three-game series vs. Atlantic Coast Conference opponent No. 25 Georgia Tech at Robert E. Taylor Stadium.
The Terps (22-9, 2-0 ACC) and the Yellow Jackets (28-6, 3-0 ACC) will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. as well. Georgia Tech and Maryland are currently ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in the ACC, respectively.
Admission and parking are free to all three games.

The Terrapins are currently on a 13-game win streak, dating back to March 11. The Terps have outscored their opponents 77-11 and have knocked in 72 RBI. The Terrapin pitching staff has an ERA of 0.70 over the last three weeks and an opposing batting average of .143. In over 90.0 innings, the Terrapins have committed just four errors.
Sophomore Lexi Carroll was named ACC Player of the Week Tuesday for her four home run performance in the Terps two dominating wins at Virginia last weekend. They beat the Cavaliers 13-0 in five innings in game one and 7-0 in game two.
