
Terps Welcome Hoyas, Eagles This Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland softball team will play host to Georgetown and Boston College this week as part of a 13-game home stand this month.
The Terps (22-12, 2-3 ACC) and the Hoyas (9-26, 3-2 Big East) will play a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The Eagles (9-19, 5-3 ACC) will come to town this weekend for a doubleheader beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m.
Admission and parking are free for all games and Gametracker live stats will be available.
Prior to this past weekend, the Terrapins won 13 straight games. Last weekend, they lost a three-game series to No. 25 Georgia Tech.
Junior Vangie Galindo is leading the Terrapins at the plate. Her .410 average puts her at second in the conference. Junior Bree Hanafin's .392 is fourth-best in the league.
The Terrapin pitching staff is second in the league with its ERA of 1.87 and leads the league in opposing batting average (.179) and strikeouts (308).
