COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Five University of Maryland gymnasts were named to the National Association of Collegiate Gymnasts Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) All-Academic Team, the league announced last week.
Kaitlin Joseph, who recently graduated with a degree in civil engineering, won the award for a third consecutive year. Rising freshman Elizabeth Manzi, also a civil engineering major, earned the honor for the first time.
Rising junior Rebecca Pang and recently graduated Abigail Adams were first-time recipients along with Kesley Cofsky, a rising sophomore and kinesiology major.
Winona State University led the way with 18 student-athletes named to the team.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must carry a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the academic year.
