COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Postgame notes following Maryland's 70-64 win over Wake Forest Wednesday evening at Comcast Center.

Tipping Off: Maryland improved to 11-4 and evened its ACC record at 1-1, while Wake Forest fell to 10-5 and 1-1 in the conference ... the Terps have won three straight over the Demon Deacons and are 8-3 in the last 11 ... Maryland leads the all-time series 65-56, including 37-18 at home.

Rebounding Margin: The Terps won the battle on the boards, finishing the game with a 45-37 edge. Maryland has outrebounded its opponent in six of the last seven games (exception is NC State, which outrebounded the Terps 36-34). Ashton Pankey led the way with nine, James Padgett had eight and Nick Faust had six. All nine Terps that saw action had at least two boards. Maryland improved to 9-1 on the season when winning the battle of the glass.

Stoglin Reaches Top 20: Sophomore guard Terrell Stoglin cracked the top 20 on Maryland's 3-pointers made list by knocking down two against Wake Forest. Stoglin shot just 6 of 18 from the field, but recorded his 11th 20-point game of the year by also knocking down 6 of 8 free throws.

Mosley Chips in 15: Sean Mosley was a strong second option as a scorer. The senior had 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the floor, including 2-for-3 on 3-pointers. It marked Mosley's third straight game in double figures and seventh overall this season.

Padgett Nearly Gets Double-Double: James Padgett had an efficient game, scoring 11 points and grabbing eight rebounds in 19 minutes of action. Padgett knocked down 7 of 9 free throws and hit 2 of 6 shots from the field. It's the eighth time this season the junior reached double figures in scoring (second on the team behind Stoglin) and first time since he had 13 against Albany on Dec. 28.

Pankey Rebounds: Ashton Pankey had a strong start for the Terps, grabbing five rebounds (four offensive) in the game's first seven minutes. That set the tone for a nine-point, seven-rebound effort in just 12 minutes in the first half. Pankey finished with nine points and nine boards, including a career-high six offensive rebounds.

First-Half Notes: Maryland went on two big runs to stretch its lead to 40-24 at the half ... trailing 9-6 early on, the Terps went on a 12-2 run over 3:51 to take an 18-11 lead ... then, leading 22-15 with just over 7:00, they went on a 14-4 run to increase the lead to 36-19 with 3:14 left in the half ... Maryland outrebounded Wake Forest 23-16 ... the Terrapin bench outscored the Demon Deacons 21-0 (Stoglin 10, Pankey 9, Parker 2).

Second-Half Notes: Terrell Stoglin (10 points) and James Padgett (8) combined to score 18 of the team's 30 points ... the Terps shot just 24 percent from the floor (7 of 29), but connected on 16 of 26 free throws (62 percent) ... Maryland made 9 of its final 13 free throws (over last 3:24).

Tidbits: Maryland used a starting lineup of Pe'Shon Howard, Nick Faust, Sean Mosley, James Padgett and Alex Len for the first time this season ... the Terps were able to win despite putting forth their second-worst shooting performance (.350) of the season (.265 vs. Alabama) ... the teams combined for 16 blocks (11 by Wake, 5 by Maryland), which marked a season-high in a Terrapin game.
