FAIRFAX, Va. - The Maryland diving squad had an impressive outing Saturday at George Mason.
Tim Tolino and Emmanuel Motsiopoulus both registered season highs in a pair of second and third place finishes, respectively, in the 1- and 3-meter events. Tolino posted a 324.60 in the 1-meter and a 324.24 in the 3-meter, which qualified him for the NCAA Diving Zone championship in March. Motsiopoulus recorded a 295.65 in the 3-meter and a 285.30 in the 1-meter.
Alisa Kurbatova captured both women's events, winning the 1-meter (304.72) and racking up a season-best score in the 3-meter (344.25). Jessica Whelan took second with a 289.49 in the 1-meter and 293.40 in the 3-meter.
Maryland returns to action next Saturday for Senior Day against Georgetown.
