COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Ana Belzunce and sophomore Cristina Stancu simultaneously clinched singles wins for the Maryland women's tennis team to secure a 4-3 win for the Terps (2-3, 0-1 ACC) over Harvard Saturday at the Tennis Center at College Park.

With the match 2-2, 28th-ranked Stancu finished off Harvard's Hideko Tachibana, 7-5, 6-4, and moments later Belzunce clinched a Terrapin victory with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Kristin Norton.

Freshman Mikele Irazusta put her teammates in a position to secure Maryland's second victory of the season. The Argentine won a second set tiebreaker to pick up her second victory at No. 6 singles. Irazusta defeated Sylvia Li, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).

Earlier in the match, 37th-ranked Belzunce and sophomore Welma Luus knocked off their third straight top-25 opponent. The Terps No. 1 doubles team beat 25th-ranked Tachibana and Norton, 8-6.

Maryland earned victories at No. 1 and 2 doubles to win the team point.

Maryland next travels to Princeton to take on the Tigers Saturday, Feb. 11 at noon.
