COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland will aim for its third straight top 25 finish when it heads to the 2012 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 15-17 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
Senior Ginny Glover, junior Megan Lafferty, sophomore Jennifer Roberts and freshman Carolyn Fittin will represent the Terps at this year's championship. Lafferty and Glover are looking to become All-Americans for the third consecutive season.
The Terps are poised to compete in the 200, 400 and 800 free relays in addition to the individual events (listed below) all four qualified for via NCAA B-cuts throughout the season.
In 2011, the Terps finished with 42 points, nearly doubling its total from the 2010 season (24). Glover, Annie Fittin, Lafferty and Blair Cross all garnered Honorable Mention All-America honors. Glover and Lafferty are seeking the prestigious nod for a third consecutive year in 2012.
Competition on Friday and Saturday will be broadcast on ESPN3. For complete information, including a detailed championship schedule, please click on the championship central at the top of the page.
