CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Maryland softball team's three-game series at No. 24 North Carolina this weekend has been cancelled. Due to inclement weather Saturday and water on the field Sunday, the Terrapins (18-11) and the Tar Heels (22-8) will not play.

Next, Maryland will play host to Virginia Tech at Robert E. Taylor Stadium in College Park next weekend. The Terps and the Hokies will play two games Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and one Sunday at 1 p.m. as well. Admission is free.
