BALTIMORE, Md. - ESPN Major League Baseball reporter and Maryland alum Tim Kurkjian regaled the Maryland baseball team and its supporters with stories from his close to 38 years in the business to help the Terps celebrate the start of the 2013 season with its annual leadoff banquet Friday night at Under Armour headquarters.

Kurkjian capped the event with a question and answer session with emcee Matt Noble and members of the audience.

Prior to Kurkjian's keynote address, head coach John Szefc thanked various Maryland baseball supporters and introduced the 35 members of the 2013 squad.

In addition to Kurkjian, Under Armour President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Kevin Plank was attendance along with Maryland alum and former volunteer assistant Eric Milton, who was honored for his generous donation to renovate the Terrapin clubhouse. The Terps open the season Feb. 15-17 at 10th-ranked LSU, then return to College Park for their first home series Feb.22-24 against Oakland.
