J.C. Nolan is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach on the Terrapin baseball coaching staff. A former standout at the University of Tampa, Nolan played three seasons and was coached by Rupp at Tampa.
A 2000 graduate with a degree in history from Tampa, Nolan was an assistant coach at his alma mater's junior varsity team for two years. He was an integral part of the Terry Rupp Baseball Camp over the summer of 2002, and was a head coach in the Florida Collegiate Instruction League the in the summer of 2001. Prior to his stint at Tampa, Nolan worked for the New York Yankees in Tampa, Fla. during the summers of 1998 and 1999 while also working as a hitting instructor at the Tampa Baseball Camps from 1998-1999.
An outstanding athlete, Nolan has trained as a boxer for the last two years and has worked out with former Olympian Jeff Lacy and current world champion Roy Jones Jr.
