As a Sophomore (2005): Started 45 games at shortstop and third base ... led Terps with nine sacrifice bunts ... was fourth on the team in hitting (.306 batting), slugging percentage (.434) and doubles (15) ... hit .339 against lefties (19-for-56) ... missed significant time after injuring his left foot against Wake Forest on Apr. 26 ... was able to return to the team for ACC Tournament, starting both of Maryland's games at third ... was a perfect 3-for-3 with a walk and a pair of runs in the series opener at UNC Wilmington (Feb. 18) ... went 1-for-4 and scored all three of the team's runs against Le Moyne (Feb. 25) ... finished 1-for-3 with a double and a career-high three RBI in the series opener against Virginia Tech (Mar. 4) ... was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored in the series finale against Tech (Mar. 6) ... had two doubles and two walks in the NC State series (Mar. 11-13) ... also stole a base and scored three runs ... had his second and third straight multi-hit games against JMU (Mar. 15-16), tying a season-high with three hits in the Terps' 3-2 win (Mar. 15) ... had three hits in both games of a doubleheader against Duquesne, finishing 6-for-11 with five runs, three RBI and a stolen base (Mar. 22) ... was 2-for-3 with a run scored, HBP and sacrifice bunt against UMBC (Mar. 29) ... had two sacrifice bunts against Temple (Mar. 30) ... tied a season-high with three hits in the series opener at Georgia Tech (Apr. 1) ... went 2-for-5 with a double in the series finale against the Yellow Jackets (Apr. 3) ... had two hits in four at-bats in the series opener against North Carolina (Apr. 8) ... went 3-for-5 with two runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth against Mount St. Mary's (Apr. 13) ... went 3-for-5 with a career-high tying three RBI and two runs scored against Coppin State (Apr. 19) ... had hits in all three games of the Wake Forest series (Apr. 22-24).
As a Freshman (2004): Started 52 games at shortstop, second and third ... was the only freshman to start in the field for the Terps in 2004 ... hit .368 with runners in scoring position, and was second on the team with 20 two-out RBIs ... finished fourth on the team with 16 doubles ... hit .302 (13-43) with eight RBIs in the month of May (11 games) ... stole two of his four bases on the season in the team's first two games of the ACC Tournament ... went 3-for-7 with two doubles and three runs in a doubleheader against UMES (Apr. 6) ... had a career-high four hits, including three doubles, and scored three runs at UMBC (Mar. 10) ... went 3-for-5 and scored a career-high tying three runs against Georgetown (Mar. 17) ... was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, on his way to tying career-highs with three runs and two RBI against Delaware (Mar. 31) ... went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI at the plate, and had a career-high seven assists with no errors at North Carolina (May 9).
At Stafford: A first team All-District shortstop after batting .445 with eight home runs, 33 RBI, and 18 stolen bases his senior year ... also earned first team honors after hitting .520 with three homers, 26 RBI and 16 stolen bases as a junior ... a gold medalist as a member of the North Team at the 2002 Virginia Commonwealth Games ... ranked the No. 21 player and No. 4 infielder in the state of Virginia by Perfect Game/Baseball America ... earned invites to the 2002 Team One South Showcase, the Mid-Atlantic Scouts Association Showcase and a spot on the Baltimore Orioles team in the East Coast Professional Scouts Showcase ... member of the Harris Rangers Travel Team that captured the 2001 Continental Amateur Baseball Association Championship ... also earned academic All-District honors twice.
