Brandon Lowe has enjoyed a strong first season with the Pirates after being acquired from the Rays in the offseason. Through 85 games, the former Maryland standout is batting .247 with 21 home runs, 64 RBIs, 56 runs scored and an .820 OPS, ranking among the National League's top power-hitting second basemen while helping Pittsburgh remain in the postseason race.

After a strong rookie campaign, Matt Shaw continued to establish himself as a versatile contributor for the Cubs in 2026. Through 56 games, he hit .246 with four home runs, 20 RBIs, four stolen bases and a .737 OPS while playing multiple positions across the infield and outfield, posting an above-average 106 OPS+ before a left hand sprain sent him to the injured list in late June.

Sean Burke continued his breakout campaign in 2026, becoming a mainstay in the White Sox rotation. The former Maryland standout is 5-4 with a 3.56 ERA and 106 strikeouts over 98.2 innings in 18 appearances (14 starts), solidifying himself as one of Chicago's top young arms.

LaMonte Wade Jr. spent much of the 2026 season in Triple-A after signing a minor league deal with the White Sox before earning a major league opportunity with the Astros in early June. He made an immediate impact, batting .333 (4-for-12) with a home run, four RBIs and a 1.135 OPS in his first four games before suffering a right hamstring strain that landed him on the injured list.

Jose Cuas returned to the major leagues with the Royals in 2026 after beginning the season in Triple-A Omaha. In three relief appearances, the former Maryland standout has posted a 3.60 ERA with six strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP across five innings, earning another opportunity in Kansas City's bullpen.

Kyle McCoy has continued to climb the Reds' minor league system in his first full professional season, going 3-2 with a 3.03 ERA and 64 strikeouts over 59.1 innings in 15 appearances (nine starts) between Single-A Daytona and High-A Dayton. The former Maryland left-hander earned a promotion to High-A during the season and has continued to showcase the strikeout ability that made him an eighth-round selection in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Ryan Ramsey has continued to be a dependable starter for Triple-A Omaha in the Royals organization during the 2026 season. The former Maryland right-hander is 4-4 with a 5.45 ERA and 64 strikeouts over 72.2 innings in 16 appearances (13 starts), continuing to provide quality innings while remaining in Kansas City's upper minors.
NICK LORUSSO, NEW YORK METS
Nick Lorusso has continued to be one of the Mets' top power hitters at the Double-A level in 2026. The former Maryland slugger is batting .236 with 14 home runs, 42 RBIs, 37 runs scored and seven stolen bases while posting a .789 OPS in 246 at-bats for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, remaining among the Eastern League leaders in home runs.

Jason Savacool has spent the 2026 season pitching at both High-A Peoria and Triple-A Memphis in the Cardinals organization, making the jump to Triple-A for the first time in his career. Across 19 relief appearances in High-A, the former Maryland right-hander is 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA, one save and 30 strikeouts in 25.0 innings, gaining experience at multiple levels while transitioning to a bullpen role.
NICK DEAN, CHICAGO CUBS
Nick Dean has continued his rise through the Cubs' farm system in 2026, making the jump to Double-A Knoxville after beginning the year in High-A South Bend. Across 13 appearances (four starts), the former Maryland right-hander is 5-2 with a 3.77 ERA, 50 strikeouts and a 1.17 WHIP in 45.1 innings, showcasing his versatility in both the rotation and bullpen.
NIGEL BELGRAVE, MIAMI MARLINS
Nigel Belgrave has spent the 2026 season pitching out of the bullpen for Double-A Pensacola in the Marlins organization. The former Maryland right-hander is 2-5 with a 6.14 ERA, four saves and 41 strikeouts over 36.2 innings in 24 appearances, continuing to serve in a late-inning relief role for the Blue Wahoos.
LUKE SHLIGER, SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS AND DETROIT TIGERS
Luke Shliger has continued his development in 2026 after being acquired by the Tigers organization, spending the season between High-A Eugene and High-A West Michigan. The former Maryland catcher is batting .243 with three home runs, 18 RBIs, 18 runs scored and four stolen bases in 33 games, while posting a .360 on-base percentage and .712 OPS as he adjusts to a new organization.
