On Norris: Gives the Terps some quality, solid middle-relief innings
... does not have an overpowering fastball, but has outstanding

As a Sophomore (2003): Had impressive command throughout
the season, striking out 28 batters, while only
issuing four walks ... tied for the team-lead with
four saves ... one of three Terp players that have
made appearances from both the mound and the
plate this season ... allowed two earned runs in 9.2
innings, spanning eight appearances, from April 16 to May 6 ...
notched a two-inning save vs. Navy (May 6) ... picked up his third
save of the season, throwing three scoreless innings in the second-
half of a game interrupted by rain vs. Duke (April 26) ... walked
and scored a run as a pinch-hitter versus Georgia Tech (March 23)
... logged a season-high three innings and five strikeouts in game
one of a doubleheader against Binghamton (March 1).
As a Freshman (2002): Appeared in 16 games, including four
starting nods ... 2.37 ERA was second lowest on the team
... compiled perfect 2-0 record during freshman campaign
... fanned 33 batters in only 30.1 innings on the hill
... did not surrender a single home run all season ... took
advantage of first collegiate start, tossing a completegame
shutout over UMES in the nightcap of a doubleheader
(March 5), fanning a career-high eight hitters in
five scoreless innings ... both career at-bats came against
Vermont (March 8) ... threw two shutout innings
and struck out five vs. Temple (April 3) ... pitched
a perfect inning and recorded a strikeout at topranked

the win at UMBC (May 1) ... did not give up a run during five consecutive appearances, including
one start, from April 19-May 7.
At Archbishop Curley: All-around athlete who lettered three seasons in baseball and four
seasons in ice hockey at Archbishop Curley High School ... also earned two letters as a member
of the football team ... two-time team captain on the baseball team who was named allcity/
county as a junior and senior ... 2001 All-Metro selection by the Baltimore Sun who
played in the Crown All-Star game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards ... went 8-2 on the mound
as a senior with a 1.84 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 65.2 innings pitched.
Personal: Born Oct. 6, 1983 ... son of Tim and Chris Norris ... his father Tim was drafted in the
fourth round by the Baltimore Orioles and played from 1978-1983 in the Orioles organization
