As a Freshman: Indoor- Ran a 9:13.73 to finish fourth on the team and 11th overall in the 3000 meters at the Delaware Invitational... ran a 3000-meter time of 8:59.95 to finish sixth overall at the Patriot Games... finished 10th in the mile at the Collegiate Open, running a 4:35.37... Outdoor- Ran a career-best 8:48.50 to finish ninth in the 3000 meters at North Carolina... posted his highest career finish, placing fourth in the 5000 meters at the Terrapin Invitational.
Before Maryland: Lettered four times in cross country at C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air, Md. ... named to All-County and All-Metro teams of the year ... earned state championship honors ... chosen as Cross Country Runner of the Year ... member of French Honor Society.
