2004 Cross Country- Finished among the top 25 in three of his four races... best time and finish came at the ACC Pre-Meet, where he ran a 26:53.03 to finish 10th overall... ran a 26:54 in finishing 70th at the Penn State Invitational... placed 19th in the team's first meet of the season, the Mount St. Mary's Duals.
As a Freshman: Indoor- Ran the mile, setting a season-best time of 4:32.75 at the Delaware Invitational... ran a 4:32.80 mile in finishing eighth at the Patriot Games... Outdoor- Ran the 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters... posted the team's top time of the season in the ACC Championships Prelims, running a 3:53.62... had four of the team's top 11 1,500-meter times... placed 17th in the 800 at the Terrapin Invitational, running a 1:59.29... was 19th in the 3,000 meters at the Tar Heel Opener, running a 9:15.59.
Before Maryland: Lettered four times in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track at Colonial Forge High School in Fredericksburg, Va. ... also lettered twice in soccer and football, for whom he was the placekicker and punter ... named All-State in four of those sports - cross country, indoor track, outdoor track and football.
Personal: Comes from an athletic family, as his mother, Debra, competed in cross country and track at Maryland (1977-81) and father, Michael, in the same sports at the U.S. Naval Academy (1977-81) ... has two brothers, Daniel and Thomas.
