As a Freshman (2009-10): Tallied top time on the squad in the 200 breast (2:06.18)...also posted third best time in the 200 IM (1:53.75) and the fifth in the 100 breast (57.59)...helped guide Maryland to the 2009 Terrapin Cup championship with third place finishes in the 100 free (2:08.16) and 200 breast (2:08.16)...also took eighth in the 100 breast (59.95) and 13th in the 200 IM (1:58.90)...established a new career-best mark in the 200 IM (1:57.67).
Before Maryland: Captain of Montgomery Blair High School swim team...earned All-America status for the Blazers...also swam witih RMSC and was a Junior National qualifier.
Personal: Son of Phil and Beverly McGehee...has one sister, Laura and one brother, Kevin, who is enrolled at Maryland...Honor Roll all four years of high school...lists his favorite pregame meal as peanut butter and jelly...before every race he cuts his nails short...Business major.
