On Dugan: Returning after a year off from competing ... will supply depth in the distance freestyle events.
2003-04: Did not compete for the Terps.
As a Freshman (2002-03): Came in third in the 1000 free at Villanova (10:10.51) ... placed seventh in the 1650 free in the Terrapin Cup Invitational (16:33.13) ... finished fifth in the 100 free against Pittsburgh (9:43.90) ... came in second in the 1000 free (9:52.72) and fourth in the 500 free (4:54.39) at Duke ... placed sixth in both the 500 (4:45.37) and 1000 free (9:43.41) at Virginia.
Before Maryland: Led Walt Whitman High School to second straight county title as captain his senior year...four-year letterwinner.
Personal: Enjoys deep sea fishing and watching football ... brother is Chris Dugan, who also swam at Maryland...son of John and Zora Dugan ... a business major ... was also recruited by UNC, Purdue, Ohio State and Notre Dame.
