On Smith: Adds depth to Maryland's sprint and middle-distance freestyle events.
As a Sophomore (2002-03): Finished eighth in the 200 free against N.C. State (1:45.93) ... came in eighth in the 100 free (47.99) and ninth in the 200 free (1:45.20) against Clemson and Virginia Tech ... placed fourth in the 100 free (49.10) and fifth in the 200 free (1:47.76) at Villanova ... finished sixth in the 100 free against Pittsburgh (48.16) ... came in third in the 100 free (48.48) and fourth in the 50 free (22.19) at Duke ... finished 11th in both the 100 free (48.67) and the 200 free (1:46.95) against North Carolina and Georgia Tech ... came in eighth in both the 100 free (48.91) and the 200 free (1:47.54) at Virginia ... placed 24th in the 200 free (1:44.34) at the ACC Championships.
Before Maryland: Part of the Division II national championship swi team while at Cal State Bakersfield...a sixth place finisher in the city meet while swimming for Air Academy.
