On Fallon: Will be a major contributor to the middle distance freestyle events.
As a Freshman (2001-02): Finished No. 2 on the depth chart in the 500-yard and 1650-yard freestyle...had a breakthrough meet at the ACC Championships finishing 13th in the 1650-yard free (15:49.72) by dropping more than 20 seconds off his time...also finished 21st in the 500-yard free (4:34.15)...placed third in the 1000-yard free (9:44.59) against Florida State...finished second in the 500-yard free (4:44.03) against Duke and again vs. Howard and Johns Hopkins (4:44.61)...finished eighth in the 1650-yard free (16:18.97) and ninth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:36.51) at the Terrapin Cup Invitational.
Before Maryland: Four-year letterwinner at St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, Del. ... three-time state champion in the 500-free ... all-state selection three times ... scholastic All-American ... swam on the Junior National team during the spring and summer of 2000.
Personal: Born Sept. 16, 1982 ... parents are Janet and Robert Fallon ... was recruited by Lehigh, Cornell, Virginia Tech and South Carolina ... an electrical engineering major.
