As a Sophomore (2005-06): Won the 1-meter board with a personal-best score (261.75) against Johns Hopkins and Howard...also finished second in the 3-meter board (262.80) against JHU and Howard...took second in the 3-meter dive (258.65) and third in the 1-meter (252.90) against Duke...finished seventh in the 1-meter dive at the Terrapin Cup Invitational (222.05)...took fourth in the 3-meter dive at Terp Cup (424.70)...finished fifth in the 1-meter dive against North Carolina (234.15)...set a career record on the 3-meter board against Virginia, finishing fourth with a score of 262.87...finished 22nd overall at the ACC Championships in the 1-meter dive (196.65)...took 20th overall at ACCs on the 3-meter board (226.80).
As a Freshman (2004-05): Placed 19th on the 1-meter board (244.15) and 17th on the 3-meter board (406.85) at the ACC Championships...against Johns Hopkins and Howard, placed second on both the 1-meter (216.29) and 3-meter (221.02) boards...took 12th on the 1-meter (186.10) board and 11th on the 3-meter (206.45) board against Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Florida State...finished fifth on the 1-meter (239.00) and achieved a career best score by winning the 3-meter (453.90) board at the Terrapin Cup Invitational...finished eighth on the 1-meter (228.50) board and ninth on the 3-meter (217.40) board against Pittsburgh, Villanova and NC State...established a career best score on the 1-meter board, placing second against Duke (258.82)...also placed third on the 3-meter board and achieved a career best score of 246.52 against the Blue Devils...finished the regular season finishing fourth on both the 1-meter (176.78) and 3-meter (202.80) boards vs. Virginia.
Before Maryland: Franklin did not field a swimming and diving team...lettered in lacrosse, wrestling and cross country in high school.
Personal: Jason Louis Eccleston...son of Amy and Alan Eccleston...has a sister, Danielle (21)...was also recruited by UMBC and George Mason...enjoys fishing and boating...chose Maryland for its location.
