On Vigilante: A talented diver who has the potential to score high in both the 1-meter and 3-meter spring boards at the conference meet.
As a Junior (2002-03): Won the 1-meter board (285.60) and finished second in the 3-meter board (264.60) against N.C. State ... was victorious in the 1-meter board against Johns Hopkins, Howard and Wingate (268.57) ... swept the diving events at Villanova ... came in second in the 3-meter board at the Terrapin Cup Invitational (511.45) ... placed third in the 3-meter board (318.82) and sixth in the 1-meter board (290.55) against Pittsburgh ... won the 1-meter board (273.23) and finished second in the 3-meter board (298.80) at Duke ... came in seventh in the 1-meter board against North Carolina and Georgia Tech (246.75) ... placed third in both the 3-meter board (453.08) and the 1-meter board (256.80) at Virginia.
As a Sophomore (2001-02): Was once again the top scoring diver for the Terps...scored again in both of his events at the ACC Championships...placed 10th on the 1-meter (245.50) and make it to the finals on the 3-meter (452.85), taking home seventh place...finished second on both the 1-meter (247.8) and the 3-meter (239.78) at NC State...third on the 1-meter (251.24) against Florida State...won the 1-meter (251.92) and came in second on the 3-meter (243.90) against Duke...won the 1-meter (309.30) against Howard and Johns Hopkins...won the 1-meter (267.45) again vs. Georgia Tech and finished second on the 3-meter (214.05)...second again on the 1-meter (285.05) and 3-meter (491.90) at the Terrapin Cup Invitational...finished third on the 1-meter (271.72) and second on the 3-meter (270.30) against North Carolina...had an impressive meet against Virginia, placing first on the 1-meter (292.57) and second on the 3-meter (470.32).
As a Freshman (2000-01): Turned in two scoring performances at the ACC Championships ... finished sixth on the 1-meter board (239.80) and 14th on the 3-meter board (351.10) at the conference meet ... was the No. 1 diver all season long ... second on the 3-meter board (232.42) vs. Howard and Villanova ... won his first two collegiate events on the 1-meter board (272.55) and 3-meter board (267.12) vs. NC State ... swept both diving events for the second straight meet vs. Johns Hopkins, winning the 1-meter (277.42) and the 3-meter (273.30) events ... came away with top honors on the 3-meter board (163.40) at UMBC ... first on the 1-meter board (248.00) at Duke.
Before Maryland: Had an outstanding career at Plano High School ...named to the 1999-00 high school All-American team ... three-time first-team Texas All-State diver ... finished fourth at the 1999-00 Texas State Diving Championships ... regional champion as a senior ... two-time district champion his junior and senior seasons.
Personal: Born Feb. 27, 1982 ... son of Sharon and Vincent Vigilante ... a letters and sciences major ... chose to attend Maryland due to its academics and swimming program.
