7th season at Maryland -- Wis.-Milwaukee '86
On of the top assistants in the country, Maryland's Jeff Rohrman is undoubtedly one of the components essential in bringing the Terps to forefront of the national soccer picture once again. Rohrman's drive and desire parallel Cirovski's excitement for the game, and mix together to create one of the best sideline combinations in the ACC and in the country.
In his seventh season with the Terrapins, Rohrman's duties include everything from coordinating Maryland's travel schedule, to recruiting, practice, administration, working with student-athletes, and assisting Cirovski in countless behind-the-scenes tasks that make the university's soccer program one of the best.
Rohrman's first coaching experience came when he was appointed head men's soccer coach at Bethany Lutheran College, where he had played for two years. Prior to coming to Maryland, he served as the assistant women's soccer coach at the U.S. Naval Academy. While there, he gathered experience in eligibility tracking, community relations, scheduling, advising and budget management, as well as his on-field coaching duties. Rohrman also worked as an intern for the U.S. Olympic Committee where he coordinated the competition for the U-20 National Team.
As a player, Rohrman spent two seasons at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and two years at Bethany Lutheran College. He played alongside Cirovski in 1984 while at Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During his time there, he earned all-state honors, was named team captain, and was voted team MVP following his senior season. He earned All-American status following his sophomore season at Bethany Lutheran.
Aside from collegiate experience, Rohrman has played professionally and in the Olympic ranks. A participant in the 1986 Olympic Soccer Festival in Houston, he then went on to play professionally with the Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer League in 1986 and 1987. Rohrman also has experience with club soccer, playing for the Real Santa Barbara Soccer Club of the Western Soccer League.
He earned a bachelor's degree in zoology from Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1986 and his master's degree in physical education and sports administration from Mankato (Minn.) State in 1991.
He is married to the former Nancy Kramarz. Their first child, Danielle Marie, celebrated her third birthday this past April. They welcomed their second child, Nicholas, into the world this past winter.
