
Terps Stay Strong in Round Two at ODU/OBX Invite

POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team stayed strong through the second round at the ODU/OBX Invitational this week at the Kilmarlic Golf Course in Powells Point, N.C. Senior Ben Warnquist went two-under par with a 69 Monday.
Warnquist moved from 29th to tied for 11th on the leaderboard. He improved by six strokes from the first day Sunday. Freshman David Kocher took four strokes off of his first day score and shot a one-under 70 Monday. Senior Connor Tendall, who is tied with Warnquist and Kocher on the leaderboard, went even with a 71 Monday.
Sophomore Victor Fox shot a 77 in Monday's second round and junior Tom Harris shot an 80.
The Terrapins are currently in fourth in the team competition. Old Dominion, Drexel, Delaware, Hartford, Marshall, James Madison, George Mason, Longwood, South Dakota, Campbell, Nebraska-Omaha, Savannah State, Saint Francis (Pa.) and UMES are also competing.
The teams will compete in the third and final round Tuesday.
There is no live scoring for the ODU/OBX Invitational, but scores will be posted at umterps.com.
