Wrestling to Host Season Kickoff Weekend

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland wrestling team will host its annual Season Kickoff Weekend, highlighted by the Red & Black Wrestle-Offs, Oct. 23-25.
The weekend will serve as the official kickoff to Maryland's second season in the Big Ten. Events will stretch over three days.
The Terps will host an open practice on Friday, Oct. 23 at 3:30 p.m in the Maryland wrestling practice room. On Saturday Oct. 24, another open practice will be held at 9 a.m., before an Alumni Social/Lunch.
The Red & Black Wrestle-Offs will take place Sunday at the XFINITY Center Pavilion at noon followed by the Season Kickoff Banquet at Heritage Hall in the XFINITY Center.
Maryland returns NCAA qualifiers Geoffrey Alexander (133) and Lou Mascola (157) along with highly touted redshirt freshman Alfred Bannister (141) and a top-20 recruiting class.
