As a Freshman (2011-12): Went 10-12 at 141 pounds and recorded five pins...took fifth place at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Invitational with a fall over Conor Hanafee of Army (11/12)...won his first two matches at the Collegiate National Open (2/26) with pins of Appalachian State's Riley Keen and NC State's Michael Avelar...recorded his first career win against Paul Marcello of Johns Hopkins (11/6).

Before Maryland: Holds the career record for wins (145) in Seton Hall Prep history...won county, district and region championship all four years...four-time all-league selection.

Personal: Full name is Louis Gerard Mascola...son of Louis and Geralynn Mascola...has two siblings, Angelo and Genera...graduated with a 3.0 GPA and plans to major in psychology.
