BETHLAHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Alexandra Lucki finished as the top Terp in a stacked field at the 6k Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University Friday afternoon.
Lucki finished the course in 21:14 to represent the first Terp across the line. Junior Emily VandeWater recorded a time of 21:29 to finish behind Lucki. Fellow junior Sydney Almeida (21:49) and senior Katie Nappi (22:21) were the next two Maryland finishers.
Senior Catherine Sheffo ran 22:36 to scores for the Terps while Charde Barnes and Karah O'Halloran also notched strong performances. Freshman Kiernan Keller, Amanda Ashe and junior Alex Squirini also competed in the event.
Blanca Fernandez of Temple won the event while the University of Guelph won the team title.
Maryland returns to action for the Gettysburg Cross Country Invite on Oct. 17.
