
Maryland Heads to Kiawah Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team will head south this weekend to play in the Kiawah Classic by Aramark, hosted by Charleston Southern at Turtle Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C. The event begins Sunday and will go through Tuesday.
The Terrapins are one of 22 teams competing in the Kiawah Classic, including Charleston Southern, Winthrop, Duke, Rice, Presbyterian, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Augusta, Missouri, USC Upstate, Richmond, Louisiana Monroe, Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville State, Gardner-Webb, Radford, Loyola of Maryland, Virginia, College of Charleston, and Newberry.
The course at Turtle Point is a par-72 that covers 7,100 yards. The teams will play one round each day. For live scoring, click here.
The Terps finished third in the Maryland Terrapin Invitational last week at Woodmont Country Club's North Course.
Sophomore David Kocher led the Terrapins and finished fifth in the individual field. He went one-over par on the 36-hole event with a score of 145 (72-73).
